Everything was happening so fast. Amanda could barely catch her breath at the speed in which the evening had turned from closure to anything but. She had to be crazy to do this. Insane. But this was Seb, the man she’d loved since she was fourteen years old. Of course he hadn’t known about her teenage crush, but when she’d turned eighteen and graduated high school he’d finally asked her out. It was with him on a hot summer night that she’d gladly surrendered her virginity. A night very much like tonight.

It had also been with him that she’d learned about all the different ways to have sex. They’d been like two kids in a candy store as they’d explored all the ways to bring pleasure to one another. But it had been the day he’d tied her up that had changed everything.

“You want to be in charge,” she whispered as his lips brushed her own, sending tingles straight to her nipples and pussy.

He didn’t answer, instead deepening the kiss, his tongue exploring as if it was the first time they’d ever kissed. He was taking this new thing very seriously. When he finally lifted his head, his brown eyes were soft with arousal.

“Only in the bedroom and only if that’s what you want.” His fingers brushed her cheek, leaving a trail of heat on her skin. “Do you still need to be submissive to enjoy sex? I hate to ask the question but I really need to know.”

She didn’t want to talk about her sex life after him. Acutely aware that he’d been honest tonight but she hadn’t been, she simply shrugged her shoulders. “Sometimes. I…like it, but I guess you knew that. Have you…?”

Amanda didn’t want to hear about the women he’d been with but the question had slipped out before she’d been able to stop it. If they were going to have a conversation about their sex partners, she wasn’t sure how she’d handle it. Her sex life with Emmett had been, in a word, terrible.

“Not with all women.” Seb shook his head and placed a soft kiss at the corner of her mouth. “I have visited a few clubs and learned a few things about being a Dominant. I hope to God I’m better at it now.”

He hesitated, obviously not sure whether he should say something. “And?” she prompted him.

“Was your ex-husband your Dom?” he asked, his lips twisting as if he’d said something really unpleasant. The thought of Emmett being a Dom or even giving a shit about her pleasure was completely laughable.

“No,” she said firmly. She wouldn’t go into the details but she could reveal this much. “Honestly, Emmett and I didn’t have a very good sex life. We weren’t…compatible in that way.”

“I don’t know whether to be happy or sad. I guess if I were any kind of man I’d be sorry that things weren’t good for you. That you didn’t get what you needed. When I left you it was because I wanted you to be happy.
